We are looking for Senior Product Manager for Nokia developer community creation for the MeeGo Developer Offering Product Planning team. MeeGo developer offering product management is responsible for competitive MeeGo developer strategy, planning and road mapping with full end-to-end view. This includes managing directly MeeGo r&d strategy, roadmaps and requirements for tools, documentation, in-device API’s and services as well as coordinating various activities for developer community, services and channel pipeline across MeeGo, Forum Nokia, ASF, Media & Games and other units inside Nokia.
In ~18 months from today, when we ask a developer “who are you?” he will ask “I am a <brand> developer”. Your role is to drive, roadmap and steer the MeeGo side of this transition between Forum Nokia, ASF, MeeGo Solutions and other Nokia internal units as well as maemo.org and meego.com communities. You will kick off the projects, define requirements and participate the corresponding projects to achieve this cross-Nokia goal.
The primary location is Helsinki, secondary is Tampere or Mountain View, US.
Our ideal candidate is a “web 2.0 digital native” with a passion for developing easy-to-use solutions desired by consumers and developers. You have several years of experience both as hands on developer as well as in various sw management and customer interacting roles. You are highly independent and self directed, but simultaneously you can work in a matrix role across organizations, cultures and time zones steering highly professional sw teams.
In addition to this you have a university degree in Business or Engineering, several years of relevant experience and proven success in SW product management. A good understanding of and experience in device software development and the device business is essential.

-You have extensive experience on working and participating with large internet based communities
-Strong track record in team leadership and in driving several partnering cases simultaneously. Good collaboration skills and ability to deliver solid results in matrix organization. Excellent management collaboration skills
-Extensive software specification, roadmapping and requirements management experience, including open source. Analytical and business oriented by nature, you have a flair for forming a clear vision and breaking it down into concrete functionalities. Strong experience in creating competitive and executable roadmaps. A good track record in running software product management.
-You posses additional domain specific knowledge and vision on the detailed job you are applying to.
-Strong expertise in UX and UI design, a good understanding of different software architectures, open source software and Linux, and good domain substance knowledge.
-Excellent skills in communication, negotiation, collaboration and project management.
-Domain specific expertise especially on Qt and Linux. Additional knowledge on devices, internet technologies, user interface paradigms, key industry players, and current trends will be a benefit.
-Tolerance for change and passion for constantly improving operations
