Yes! Our YouTube channel is now up and here goes our first video, a how-to on Yappari Installation that was requested by our reader, Ahmed Husein Ashour. None of my voice yet, sorry, the annotations’ll have to do. I might do voice-overs once in a while, but not here.

Sometimes, for whatever reason, the layouts provided “out of the box” in QML just don’t cut it. lately, I’ve been doing a few rather different things for experimentation and learning purposes that have meant I’ve run into quite a lot of these cases

Tweet Have you lost a remote for an infrared device? As long as you have your N900 with Pierogi on it, it shouldn’t be a problem. Pierogi is a really good (and tasty) infrared remote for your N900 , and allows you to control tons of different devices that are already preconfigured into the app

Last weekend I’ve been toying around with Open GL ES 2.0 on the N950 after finding a nice Xlib-based Python example on the web for the N900. I modified the code a bit, replaced the Xlib code with a QGLWidget from QtOpenGL (via PySide), which makes the setup a lot easier and (apart from API differences of GL ES 2.0 and Desktop GL) allows me to test the prototype on my normal computer as well
